I make WhirlyGlobe-Maply, a high performance open source geospatial display API for iOS and Android. The WhirlyGlobe part is a 3D interactive globe and the Maply piece is a 2D flat map.
The toolkit is used in a few big, complex, and gorgeous apps and a whole bunch of neat little small apps. It's easy to use, but can also scale big.
I do consulting based on the toolkit. That's primarily new features and integration. Feel free to contact me for more information.
