đ Summary
An Economist by training and Analyst by trade, I love finding the signal in the noise. I'm looking for new opportunities to grow and learn where ever I can find them.Data Analyst @ Used transaction history and site-browsing data to improve customer retention and explain phenomenon across Williams-Sonoma brands. Extracted over 5 years of transaction data through SQL and used predictive modelling in Python to find patterns in behavior and advise on how to increase retention overall. From October 2013 to Present (2 years 3 months) San Francisco, CAProject Analyst @ As a Project Analyst on the Analytics Team, I conduct ad hoc analysis for clients on current and past data. I provide insights and explanations for phenomenon that arise from QPC's consulting process. My team is responsible for providing clients with accurate information, through external research and in-depth analyses on client-data, in order to recover lost premium opportunities and boost clients revenue. From March 2012 to June 2013 (1 year 4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaMarketing Analyst @ Responsible for developing additional markets for Cloudbearing services and information. From June 2011 to October 2011 (5 months) Team Lead @ This position has given me the opportunity to grow professionally by honing my inter personal and technical skills. As the team leader, I hired, trained, and managed our 10-person team of interns. I wanted to shape the internship program as a two-way street for the team; the company and the interns could mutually benefit from their participation. I recognized areas of inefficiency and I cut training time for daily intern tasks in half, and created training modules so that interns could start researching and updating databases effectively. To give interns valuable life and career advise, I brought in a series of guest speakers to introduce the many opportunities in the field of financial advising. On the technical side, I made portfolio recommendations using Morningstar research. I am familiar with the process of financial planning from getting a client, to re balancing their portfolio. From January 2010 to May 2011 (1 year 5 months) ITA Intern @ I participated in the UCDC program over the summer of my junior year, and found an invaluable internship at the DOC. I worked with a team from the International Trade Administration on a project called the CDP (Common Data Platform). The CDP is essentially a library homepage, where all the data resources open to the ITA can be found in one organized place. I was able to analyze usage statistics from a survey and present to a committee. I was also an integral part of the platform shift process. CDP was previously on a proprietary system that had limited capabilities, and over the summer, it was moved to SharePoint (A Microsoft product for professional communications.) I developed content for the website, wrote informative ads for ITA employees, and worked extensively with the IT department to make the CDP accessible to all ITA personnel.
