I also plan engaging review materials before the lab for students to reacquaint with lecture topics of that week. I often encouraged students to try creative solutions and also talk to me about their approach so that not only will I be able to better understand the way they think and can better adjust my communication to teach better, but it can also allow them to understand and reflect on their approach in solving the problem. lastly I debugged code along with students to make sure they can understand what the error message mean, and better avoid similar problems in the future.

Teaching Assistant @ I am a teaching assistant for CS1114, Intro to Programming and Problem Solving. As part of my responsibilities, I attend weekly meetings with professors and other TAs to report what happened during lab in the previous week, so that we can adjust policies or give feedback to create better lab problems for next semester. From September 2015 to Present (4 months) Teaching Assistant @ I had the pleasure to teach a group of very talented high school women who are interested and love to learn more about computer science and cyber security this past summer. Before the session starts, I worked with professors and TAs to plan and rehears engaging lesson plans. I also led, planned and executed a scavenger hunt in collaboration with our school's admissions office as a creative way to give high school students a tour of our campus. I also created Python scripts as lesson tools to demonstrate and explain security topics such as encryption. It was an awesome experience to be able to meet and bond with so many talented, bright and intelligent girls and inspire them to study computer science. From May 2015 to August 2015 (4 months) Teaching Assistant @ As a teaching assistant, my main job is to explained lab procedures to students and answered relevant questions they may have about the lab. But I believe supporting students through their lab and encourage them to try new and creative solutions is just as important in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. Lastly asking thought provoking questions while troubleshooting inaccurate results along with students allows me to make sure they can think critically about why they performed the lab a certain way.
