Software Engineer @ From October 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Change Intern Analyst @ During the 9 weeks, I was responsible for producing and improving management information for UK Change team and assisting governance of Change projects which included testing of new software My key achievements included managing a project to improve management information in the team, dealing with need to change scope and resulting in saving 1 hour per week for the team and implementing the system beyond the team - this was beyond the original scope. I reached the “level expected of a business analyst with 1 year experience” according to my line manager, despite only working there for 9 weeks. Whilst working, I also tested software, discovered problems and successfully coordinated solutions. This helped to show me my interest in software development. From June 2013 to August 2013 (3 months) Intern @ The role included researching and writing briefings; redesigning website content; and general administration. I drafted summaries of campaigns and a biography, all of which are currently in use on his website. On my own initiative - as part of another task - I collated over 50 documents to create a timeline of George Freeman MP’s 20 year political and career history. I also redesigned more than half of the filing system to make it more compact and user-friendly, first reorganising a smaller proportion then being asked to sort more of the system. From August 2012 to September 2012 (2 months) Waitress @ A restaurant seating 35 people. I worked as a waitress, which included greeting customers, taking orders and serving food and drink. From July 2009 to September 2010 (1 year 3 months) Secretary, Book-keeper and Farm worker @ CRH Bennett & Co is an 800-acre farm with self-catering apartments. I did the monthly book-keeping, wrote confirmations and invoices and did other general administration. I established the system for writing and checking confirmation letters, and the same system is still used. I also designed the brochure for the self-catering apartments and 6 years later was asked to redesign it with new information. This is the brochure currently in circulation. From January 2005 to September 2010 (5 years 9 months) Brand Designer @ Designed the brand of a newly opening bakery. I designed the logo in 48 hours, then followed up by designing business cards, letterheads, the signage in the bakery and the advertising brochure. From August 2009 to August 2009 (1 month)
