I am a technology generalist who remains fiercely technical with a long history of enterprise software development in the Java and Python programming stack. I enjoy tackling complex problems with simple and elegant solutions that make a large difference.
I am the Co-Founder of Arctic Shores which is pioneering the development of innovative games-based psychometric assessments primarily used in recruitment to attract and identify talented candidates. These games are designed with scientific rigour to deliver objectivity, accuracy and fairness in candidate selection, as well as being fun to play.
I also devised and developed Asset DB, a unique and highly visual print and asset management tool used and sold in over 40 countries by NewField IT, a software and services company in the printing and imaging industry. Asset DB was instrumental in propelling NewField IT from initial start-up to international company and ultimately to its sale to Xerox in 2011.
I also organise Python Northwest, the technology user group and community for the Python programming language in the Northwest.
