This was a significant piece of work encompassing all infrastructure associated with the implementation to cover physical server upgrades, migration of certificates and trusted connections, OS upgrades, Database upgrades and external connectivity for Production, DR, all test environments and development. • Migrated interfaces to/from over 40 external and internal data providers and consumers including systems such as Charles River, Bloomberg and Rimes using Messaging, File feeds, and direct DB access • Designed and built mechanisms to allow side-by-side regression testing between the new and old systems by splitting interfaces where external feeds have only a single touch point and subsequently managed the test environments to ensure maximum up-time and correct job sequencing for scripted tests run by the test team. Batch Re-Engineering (16 Month Project) • Design and Technical lead to redesign the Cadis overnight batch systems to enable simultaneous processing of multiple back offices through the system thus reducing overall batch processing times and delivering a more responsive and efficient overnight processing model without the constraints of the existing sequential batch. • Redesigned all batch control scheduled jobs, their interdependencies and all batch control code. Coded all batch processes and incorporated configuration based tuning and full system logging providing both flexibility and enhanced supportability. • Produced all training material and provided training to support teams across the globe.
