Competency Center's responsibilities included setting standards support of Websphere, interfacing with the vendor, and seeding the corporation with J2EE knowledge globally. Managed the creation of a reference application demonstrating the use of design patterns, creation of a framework, security, XML, and LDAP. Competency Center's responsibilities grew to include Portal Server, Workflow, and Actuate. Served on teams to set architectural standards, review application designs, and create enterprise standards for the corporation. From July 2000 to October 2006 (6 years 4 months) Westwood, MAAssistant Vice President @ State Street Managed a team that designed and created object-oriented middleware in CORBA using C++ and Java. Middleware was deployed globally and was used by a number of applications including the largest online application for the corporation. Managed education on technical decisions and design reviews which resulted in organization consensus across teams on defining interfaces. From February 1997 to July 2000 (3 years 6 months) Westwood, MASenior Systems Officer @ State Street Responsible for all LAN, communication and technical issues within the United States Financial Asset Service Division.
