💼 Past Experience

After attending many Board of Directors meetings during my previous three years of direct reporting to three CEOs, I developed a strong understanding of long-term business outlook and key strategic initiatives at Iron Mountain. Additionally, I was responsible for creating the Strategic Planning Function and driving the company’s higher revenue and EBITDA growth. Additionally, I was in charge of the Office of the CEO and helped manage all the company’s communication and meetings with all senior leaders. I also played a significant role in the divestiture of a $200M Digital business unit and helped create a high-potential recruitment process that resulted in seven people being promoted into different groups within three years.Since coming to Iron Mountain, I have shaped and continues to lead the company’s strategic planning process, created the Finance Leadership Development Program, and helped execute top companyizational initiatives such as the construction of the new Data Center service line. I have also played a significant role in the development of the company’s marketing materials and helped negotiate and close several high-potential acquisitions. My outreach to all prospects has led to a highly differentiated (and highly successful) data center solutions solution being offered to all Iron Mountain customers.Overall, I have been a successful leader in managing a team of talented professionals and a companys overall operations. I would like to think that my experience at Iron Mountain has prepared me very well for my current role as EVP & General Manager, Data Centers at Iron Mountain.

🎓 Education

Mark Kidd has a B.A. from Deerfield Academy in 1996 and an Executive Education degree from Harvard Business School in 2002.Kidd has been with GEICO since 2006. His prior experience includes roles in core areas of GEICO products such as home and auto insurance, financial planning, home insurance, and transportation policies. Kidd has some experience in the insurance industry with a background in economic planning. He currently leads GEICO's global product marketing.Prior to GEICO, Kidd worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 2006 to 2011. He held a number of increasingly responsible positions at the Fed, most recently as the Chief Economist and Deputy Chief economist. Kidd has written extensively on monetary economics and banking, including contributions to the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the American Economic Review.

Kidd has a history of working with business teams and managing expectations, as well as being able to communicate effectively. Kidd has a deep understanding of the business, and can provide insights and guidance to help teams succeed.In his current role, Kidd is responsible for the overall strategy and planning for the Iron Mountain Data Centers. They are a global company, so Kidd is responsible for looking at ways to expand the data center footprint and increase efficiency. Kidd has also been responsible for leading the company's real estate investment committee. In this role, Kidd is responsible for reviewing all of the company's real estate investments and evaluating potential deals. Kidd is also responsible for managing expectations for the Iron Mountain Data Centers, and ensuring that the company's products and services are top-notch.
