A 3rd year computer science major at UCLA, I am pursuing a career in software engineering, with a personal interest in improving diversity in the tech sector. An unabashed optimist, I believe strongly in the ability for technology, informed and guided by the humanities, to change our world for the better.

Web Developer Intern @ The Daily Bruin is one of the nation's leading college dailies. As a web developer intern, I look forward to creating stunning and original data journalism, as well as general upkeep of our website. From October 2015 to Present (2 months) UCLAElectronics Engineer @ Rocket Project is a student-led engineering project that designs, manufactures, and launches a rocket annually. Our team competes in the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition, hosted by the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association, and is part of AIAA at UCLA.
A member of the Electronics subteam, I am programming its payload, an Arduino-based multi-sensor package, which will enable real-time telemetry. Data will come from an accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and barometric pressure sensor. The full payload will total 10 pounds and our altitude goal is precisely 10,000 feet. My work also includes propulsion systems testing and providing general EECS expertise as needed by the rest of the project. From October 2014 to Present (1 year 2 months) UCLAWeb Developer @ UCLA's Campus Events Commission is a student government group dedicated to bringing the best entertainment to campus, free for all students to enjoy. As one of its web developers, I worked closely with its designers to create and maintain CEC's online presence.
In particular, I collaborated with my fellow web developer on the website for the Bruin Bash concert, the largest one for students at UCLA (10000+ attendees). We had over 20,000 unique views in a week, and the concert itself sold out. I also revamped CEC's WordPress blog, removing malware, installing a new theme, and hardening the site against further attacks. From June 2015 to October 2015 (5 months) UCLAIT Support Specialist @ The UCLA Lab School is a laboratory school that promotes leading-edge education, and includes a strong research component to advance education, with regular outreach to train better educators. Underpinning these efforts are over 450 Macs and iPads, which the IT team deploys and supports.
To accomplish a full refresh to OS X Yosemite, I built out our mass imaging and software install/update solutions, using DeployStudio and Munki. All Macs and iPads, both old and new, were ready in time for the new school year, to the delight of students, faculty, and staff. From June 2015 to September 2015 (4 months) UCLA Lab School
