I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Letters and Science; my degree is in social welfare and sociology. I am now traveling the world as a missionary and am being inspired by all the different cultures and the way they affect the people living in them. I would love to someday work in a non profit sector of the social welfare system.

Missionary @ •Traveled to many diverse countries, assisting established organizations and churches with various projects, including but not limited to: starting an orphanage in Kenya, teaching English in Rwanda, shadowing a social worker and caring for the street children in The Philippines, working with young women at a Teen Challenge Center in Cambodia, assisting a growing church in China and running English Clubs in Ukraine. •Handled my team’s finances, which consisted of keeping and logging receipts, tracking our budget and controlling our spending. •Led a team of six women, caring for the health of the team as well as working with the contact to provide the best aid that we could. From August 2011 to Present (4 years 5 months) Server @ Worked as a waitress, taking care of customers and anticipating their needs. From June 2010 to June 2011 (1 year 1 month) Madison, Wisconsin AreaDoor Staff @ Welcomed people into the theater and assisted them to their seats if necessary. Provided a friendly face for people attending the shows and tore tickets as they came into the theater. From August 2009 to May 2011 (1 year 10 months) Madison, Wisconsin AreaStudent Intern @ Participated in revamping the shelter meal done once a month by researching other meal sites and creating a more efficient, less stigmatized environment Volunteered at the food pantry once a week, helping clients pick out their groceries as well as entering pantry data into the computer system.
