Primary responsibility was development of Polymer Web Components as part of a UI/UX refactoring project. Other responsibilities included working with Scrum teams to add new full-stack featuresets to the existing codebases, outside of the UI/UX-specific work. - Architected and developed reusable HTML components using Polymer. - Wrote Hapi plugins to provide a stable, testable backend used by data-driven front-end clients. - Assisted in technology and workflow decisions, including an ongoing update of version control practices and large updates to the in-house front-end framework. From April 2015 to July 2015 (4 months) Greater Chicago AreaSoftware Developer (Contractor) @ Worked as part of a small consultancy team to build web-based applications for various clients with a Scrum-based workflow, while managing tight, sometimes competing, deadlines. - Developed the web’s first ever third-party sites using the NodeJS-based PencilBlue CMS. - Helped lead front-end development process through technology decisions and first several sprints of a scalable, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) learning management system for after-school youth groups, using AngularJS. - Did miscellaneous maintenance and feature-addition work on Wordpress sites, including integration of the Authorize.NET PHP SDK. From July 2014 to April 2015 (10 months) Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina AreaSoftware Developer @ Worked as a freelance developer creating solutions for a wide variety of problems, including (but not limited to) Wordpress theme updates, WooCommerce extensions for external, proprietary API integrations, Authorize.NET CIM integrations (with and without the Authorize.NET SDK), Node.JS bindings for C++ libraries, and Google Maps. Work was intermittent from late July 2013 to March 2014 due to external factors.
