John Berry has a BEng (Hons) from the University of Sheffield, achieving a title of Civil and Structural Engineering in January 1983. While at the University of Sheffield, John achieved an MBA in Business from Staffordshire University. After a period of time in business, John returned to the University of Sheffield, this time as a lecturer in Civil and Structural Engineering, starting in January 1994. John has currently been a lecturer at the University of Sheffield for thirteen years. During this time, John has taught a variety of courses, including the Swansea-Liverpool ferry crossing and the construction of a new 2,000home estate in Gateshead.
