I have also been working in the technology industry for the past 2 years. I previously worked at Twitter in San Francisco Bay Area and Menlo Park, CA. At Twitter, I was a Product Manager responsible for overseeing development of all Twitter’s mobile products. My work there included shipping new features, developing algorithms to optimize Twitter for the mobile sector, and working on the product strategy for our 12 product Divisions. I also responsibility for working on the automotive product, which includes managing Twitter’s relationship with OEMs,supplier relationships, and developing partnerships with autonomous driving startups. I also worked on a team responsible for helping people find information they needed while using Twitter, including content discovery and discovery across our social networks.Prior to that, I spent 2 years at Facebook in San Francisco Bay Area as a Product Manager responsible for oversight of all messaging products, including products like Facebook Live and Messenger. My work there included working on the development of all Facebook messaging products, including products like Facebook Messenger and Facebook Break. Prior to that, I spent 1 year at Google as a Product Manager responsible for overseeing all of Google’s mobile products, including products like Wildfire and Canvas. at Google, I was responsible for working on all products in the Ads group, which included developing algorithms to optimize these products for the mobile sector, and leading product development for our 12 product Divisions. Prior to that, I spent 1 year as an analyst at Facebook in Menlo Park, CA, where I was responsible for the development of all Facebook messaging products, including products like Facebook Messenger and Facebook Break.
🎓 Education
James Lancaster has a BA from Stanford University in Economics. Lancaster then went on to get an MA in Computer Science from Stanford University. Lancaster has since done a post-doctoral fellowship in computer science at the University of Utah. Lancaster has now been a Professor at the University of Utah for almost 10 years. Lancaster's research focuses on low-cost, widely available artificial intelligence and head-mounted displays.
