Having worked across a variety of sales positions and as a Business Analyst for RBS I decided to move into Recruitment for one particular reason. Throughout my life I have found myself to be in a position of taking someone's problem and solving it. I found this to be the case in any situation - be that through charity events or my personal life, I've always acted as a bridge between a problem and a solution. Working at RBS I was given more exposure to this but the problem of changing a web page compared to helping someone lacked that true sense of accomplishment. One day my cousin was complaining to me how she was finding it difficult to find a job. I then spent a few hours with her and helped match her skill set to something suitable. It was after that interaction I realised that Recruitment was the right career for me. During my 3rd year I began to do Social Media advertising for small businesses. The mission statement of my consultancy was 'Let me take your problem and make it our solution'. This is something that I still operate towards and stand by today. I moved to London in order to achieve my goal of furthering my experience as well as developing my relationships and expanding my network.
