George Bell's education began at University of Southampton with a degree in Radio and Television Technology. He then went onto study at Wimbledon College where he earned his degree in Commercialitsuology. After completing his education, George went into work as an assistant controller at a small broadcasting company. However, after only a few months, George left to become a corporate controller in the same company.In 2000, George started his own business, called Gateway Solutions, which provided training and consultancy for business-owners and managers. After a few years in business, Gateway Solutions came to the attention of a number of businesses in the media and technology sectors. These businesses approached George to become their corporate controller.In 2006, George became the corporate controller for the BBC I Chancellorsucker Trust. This role saw him lead a team of professionals who worked to create the BBC I Chancellorsucker Trust's BBC Trustees Rights Complaint scheme.In 2013, George became the corporate controller for the BBC World Service. This role saw him lead a team of professionals who worked to create the BBC World Service's BBC World Service Trustees Rights Complaint scheme.These roles have given George a wealth of experience and knowledge in the media and technology sectors. George is highly respected within these industries and has elected to remain as the corporate controller for the BBC I Chancellorsucker Trust until 2021.
