I am an Interaction and User Experience designer and I absolutely love what I do.
Schooled in Graphic Design, but now focus on Interaction and User Experience, I seek to create meaningful experiences and interactions that (most) users will never notice. Their experience is simple, delightful and easy. I love micro-interactions and the power that the smallest swipe, click or flick can bring awe to a person, or 10 people, or a million people.

Head of User Experience and Design @ At NeoCare, we support parents who have babies in the NICU. We help ease the transition from hospital to home through an on team staff of dedicated clinicians and a tablet app for communication and knowledge.
I joined NeoCare Solutions initially as the only designer (UX and UI) and have now moved on to build up a small team to tackle all current design needs. In leading the team, we've worked closely the product, development, and leadership to help shape a new user experience for our clinicians and parents. We are currently in the process (after rounds of user testing and an ideation session) of moving the product to mobile for an improved, more seamless experience.
Some highlights:
- Head of design
- Built a design team to manage all design needs
- Ongoing support for current product
- User interviews for both coach and parent apps
- ideation session to help guide where to focus our product
- Internal brainstorming and ideation for moving to mobile
- Worked with Dev, product and leadership to see through execution of designs From June 2014 to Present (1 year 7 months) Lead Interaction Designer @ While at Healthagen I was embedded full time within a start up called InvolveCare. I was the sole UX and UI designer for the app. They already had a v1, and my charge was to rethink, and redesign the app in it’s entirety. I redesigned the user experience, documented the screens in wireframes, created a visual language and designed all screens and assets for development.
I worked directly with all levels at the company, seeing through not only user goals but business goals as well, helping to grow the app well beyond its initial v1 launch. I worked directly with in-house and offshore developers to build and launch an iOS and Android mobile version of the app. Sadly, the company was defunded and is not longer in existence. From June 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 1 month) San Francisco Bay AreaInteraction / UX Designer @ In a short stint at Substantial I got a chance to work closely with developers on an Android app for Google and saw through the launch of the new Substantial.com site. My role became more of a hybrid interaction/visual designer on redesign of Substantial.com, so I was able to sharpen up my visual design skills while seeing through a new interactive experience for the site. From December 2012 to April 2013 (5 months) Lead Interaction / UX Designer @ At my time at Method I lead teams, overseeing projects and driving overall experience and vision of the projects. I presented work and interfaced directly with clients. I practiced user centered focus design solutions while keeping in mind large system thinking.
Experience in user interface design, user interaction design, wireframing, interaction flows, site/device/experience architecture maps, concept sketching, data visualization, information graphics, personas, user scenarios, user testing, storyboarding, prototyping (digital and paper).

I have designed experiences in platforms such as mobile, web, tablets/portable media players, TV, and home alarm systems.
