Phorest (www.phorest.com) was established to take advantage of the newly emerging SMS (text message) industry. The company focused on the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market in Ireland and the UK and rapidly became one of the leading players in this space. My achievements included: -Hands-on involvement with the design team to create a suite of SMS tools which were unprecedented in their ease-of-use by our SME clients. -Rapidly carved out several industry sectors which the company owned including gaming, marketing agencies, beauty salons and education. Led a highly effective marketing campaign which successfully convinced all Irish political parties (including the main government civil service function) to adopt Phorest’s SMS solution as a communications platform. -Recruited a management team which subsequently acquired my interest in the company Phorest has continued to expand and has since focused solely on the UK beauty industry with an additional range of software products. It is now the fastest growing company in this space.
