Under my purview, we have never missed a reporting deadline.• Support GAAP and Statutory Insurance Accounting for Allstate Corporation and its subsidiaries utilizing ITIL practices by scheduling data loads, accounting reports, monitoring system for timing of reports of impact of user ad-hoc queries, and using SAP BW Financial Reporting System.• Monitor error logs looking for continuous operational improvement opportunities. Through this process, I Identified, took ownership of, and solved year-end close memory issues, reducing the number of errors from 174 in January 2012 to only 3 in January 2013. By reproducing load-balancing issues that caused the memory errors, I was able to determine the 3 separate causes of the memory errors and fix them. This solution saved over 120 person-hours during the time-sensitive accounting close.• Primary contact for critical production issues within SAP BW; point of escalation when 1st level support cannot resolve an issue.• Experience working with both on-shore and off-shore contractors.• Maintain system user relationship, including coordinating releases, troubleshooting issues, and identifying future user requirements.• Supervise machine capacity for disk space and coordinate the timing of adding space.• Technical lead on the Business Warehouse Accelerator for both hardware and software issues.• Technically support SAP BW operations. • Troubleshoot and fix system problems. • Serve as internal consultant for Sarbanes Oxley and audit compliance on multiple data warehouse environments. As a result of my reporting the risk, a complete upgrade was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.• Identified that the plan to replace legacy IMS technology was not scheduled to start for 5 years and not scheduled to complete until 2027, by which time most of the programmers who know the technology will be retired or dead. As a result of my reporting the risk, a project to replace IMS was started in 2017. Greater Chicago Area
