I just started working with some brilliant people at Innocean Australia as Head of Art. But I started my career in 1996 working for two wonderful Creative Directors, David Abbott and Peter Souter at AMV BBDO in London, the UK’s largest and arguably most successful ad agencies, where I managed to get my first ever ad into D&AD, I was quickly promoted to being the youngest member of the main board at just 26 years old. At AMV I made ads for most of the agencies clients including BT, The Economist, Guinness, Pepsi and Sainsbury’s Supermarket and Walkers Crisps. At AMV I wrote the most complained about TV commercial of all time for Wrigley’s. From there, I founded the creative hot shop Lunar BBDO in 2005, AMV's sister agency backed by BBDO before joining Anomaly London in 2009 to help successfully win the Sony Europe Account. In 2011 I then decided there was nowhere else in London I really wanted to work and I rather fancied the idea of learning to Surf. So I moved to Sydney, Australia. At DDB Sydney I was joint CD along with the incredibly talented Simon Veksner on Tourism Australia. We made the latest incarnation of the ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ campaign. Somehow Aussies liked it and voted it the Nations favourite campaign. Not bad for two brits. In April 2012 I joined Droga5 as a Creative Director for Qantas Domestic/International and Frequent Flyer business, Sunbeam Electrical and Destination New South Wales at their Sydney office. I’ve been in D&AD Annual over 28 times, I was on the D&AD Black Pencil Jury in 2010 and have won a few awards including Golds and Silvers at Cannes, Golds and Silvers at One show, Clio, LIA, Epica, Eurobest and some other bits of metal I can’t remember and I’m sorry to say I’m still learning to surf.
