Having achieved certification in Neolane application development, I was heavily involved in developing complex targeting workflows and providing end user training to one of Celerity's biggest clients. My growing knowledge of Neolane, combined with my existing technical skills, meant that I was well positioned to liaise with all technical teams within Celerity, consulting with SME's as required during scoping workshops, to generate detailed and accurate statements of work for prospective customers. - Maintaining the company CRM to record client information and contact From September 2010 to September 2011 (1 year 1 month) Technical Services Manager @ Algorithms Software UK Ltd supplies contract cost planning software designed specifically for the construction industry.
Although primarily a technical role I shared responsibility with the Client Services Manager for the implementation of Algorithms’ standard and bespoke software, whilst also taking full responsibility for all technical issues both across all projects and internally. I reported directly to the Managing Director, providing advice, input and guidance on technical matters affecting internal processes and ongoing product development.
Key Achievements:
• Due my knowledge of both the construction and the IT industry, I became a key member of the implementation team, able to advise both customers and colleagues alike on software, hardware, and business process configuration matters to ensure that customers received maximum benefit from the Xpedeon products
• By providing a single point of contact for customers and maintaining regular communication I helped to improve customer relationships, enabling long standing technical issues to be finally closed to the customers satisfaction
• Through the implementation of a basic internal network, I provided access to central data storage and multiple test environments to enable software releases from India to be thoroughly tested prior to release to customers. This not only improved communication between teams within Algorithms, but also improved the quality of service that we offer to customers
• My approachable nature meant that I was often the first port of call for my colleagues if they required assistance with an issue, technical or otherwise. As a result I believe I earned their respect, for my work ethic and productivity, whilst still making time to assist them with their own issues despite my own considerable workload From July 2007 to July 2009 (2 years 1 month) Technical Consultant @ Chaucer Digital is the technical arm of Chaucer Consulting, a business management consultancy focussing primarily on the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. However, after identifying the rapidly expanding online gambling market, Chaucer Digital secured several new contracts for the design and implementation of casino and bingo software.
Examples of these projects include:
• Coordination of the upgrade of a Java/Linux based gaming platform, working to ambitious deadlines whilst minimising the impact to the existing 15 network partners
• Development of a wireless mobile casino system, including communication with a proprietary Java based gaming server through a bespoke Java based binary messaging interface. Both platforms required the implementation of location detecting methods to determine the current country, integration of Contactless RF reader technology for player authentication and incorporation of Cisco/Aeroscout location technology to provide location-based authentication within hotels and casinos.
As the technical lead on these technically challenging projects I was responsible for the liaison with the client and 3rd parties, managing expectations and responding to changes in scope. This included a 6 week deployment to Australia to assist with de-bugging and troubleshooting of on going technical issues.
