Even in an increasingly digital world, the Postal Service, which employs nearly 500,000 employees and generates more than $68 billion in annual revenue, continues to serve people and businesses by binding the nation together and embracing innovation and technologies to enhance the power of the mail. As Vice President of Sales for the United States Postal Service (USPS), Cliff oversees the direction and management of a Sales organization of more than 1,000 domestic and global sales representatives who engage with small, medium and large commercial mailers in mail and shipping product offerings.
His responsibilities include customer acquisition and retention, business development, and improving USPS competitiveness and market share through strategic partnerships and solutions. Under Cliff’s leadership, the USPS Sales organization has extended its reach to businesses worldwide, proving the value of USPS products as an impactful medium for reaching consumers.
A proponent in leveraging data to improve processes, customer experience, and employee effectiveness, Cliff spearheaded the use of analytics around lead management and customer retention efforts to increase new, commercial revenue by nearly three-fold in less than 4 years. His passion lies in playing an active role in the sales force, through the planning and execution of innovative strategies and integral sales initiatives to provide customers with products and services that best match their needs.

Leading a sales organization of more than 1,000 enterprise and field sales representatives and support staff, together they work to increase profitable revenue for the Postal Service.
Key achievements include:
-Increased new commercial annual sales by nearly three-fold in less than 4 years
-Developed analytical model to measure funnel speed and reduce sales cycle time
-Developed sales retention organization, resulting in retention of over 30x more revenue to date since program initiation in FY12
-Launched cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, successfully integrating 23 separate systems
-Developed sales competency model, talent development program, and sales career lattice to provide employee advancement opportunities From May 2011 to Present (4 years 8 months) Washington D.C. Metro AreaManager Operations Support, Southern Area @ Managed development and daily execution of Southern Area operations (9 states, 12 districts) including mail and package processing for over 60 facilities, delivery operations, customer service, logistics, and maintenance.
Led the Southern Area, in achieving #1 in national performance (service and efficiency) for three consecutive years from 2009 to 2011. Implemented digital mail processing analytics platform to optimize operational staffing and allocation of equipment, resulting in $35M in first year cost reduction. From 2005 to 2011 (6 years) District Manager Major Metro, Houston @ Oversaw all postal operations for Houston District, the 4th largest city in the U.S. (15,000 employees and over $1 billion annual operating budget). From 2003 to 2005 (2 years) District Manager, Oklahoma @ Oversaw all postal operations in the state of Oklahoma. Lead the district in achieving performance improvements in service and efficiency. From 2000 to 2003 (3 years) Senior Plant Manager and Postmaster @ First executive Postmaster of Las Vegas, NV responsible for delivery operations and Customer Service throughout the city of Las Vegas.
