Progression has always been my motivation, from a young snowboarder learning new tricks to building evolving Go To Market plans. In an ever-changing marketing environment I have a range of expert experience from content production, retail marketing deliverables and digital needs that include website, email and social, along with traditional marketing needs. Over the course of my career I have worked closely with Senior teams in planning and executing many different marketing initiatives.Senior Brand Director @ As the Brand Director I built all GTM plans with a focus on digital and video content. In the past, GTM plans were set at sell-in and followed throughout the sell through period. Now these plans can change monthly and need to be constantly monitored and updated to connect with the target consumer. Video projects included the Burton Presents… video series and Peace Park. Peace Park was a major accomplishment. The project was fueled with partner dollars from Mountain Dew. On location we collected content for Mountain Dew TV and web commercials, Burton product testimonials, and a 22-minute television show to be aired on ABC in December of 2015. My title on the project was Executive Producer and I managed a team of 3 producers, 7 cinematographers, an onsite editing team and onsite branding team. During my time at Burton I oversaw multiple budgets and teams including Brand Marketing team (3 people), Anon Marketing team (2 people), Retail Marketing team (4 people) and Team Marketing (2 people and 30+ athletes) From September 2013 to May 2015 (1 year 9 months) VP of Snowboarding @ Oversee the Snow division from top to bottom. Build and manage marketing budget. Directly manage a team of 6, work closely with an art team of 6, web team of 3 and oversee a team of 30 snowboarders. Responsibilities also include communicating brand message globally with managers in Europe, Japan and Australia/ New Zealand. Have worked and negotiated high-level contracts with large agencies including CAA, IMG and Wasserman Media Group. I have been the key marketing member in Volcom’s triad approach of product, sales, and marketing. Work with Sr. merchandizer to approve all snow products, and work closely with sales manager on strategic sales plans. Produced back-to-back X Games gold medal video parts with Dan Brisse in Real Street 2011-12. Number one snow brand in Transworld Business Exposure meter 2012 Logo wars. From January 2011 to August 2013 (2 years 8 months) Costa MesaSr. Brand Director of Snowboarding @ Managed a team of 4 whilst building the film “9191”. This was an opportunity to get behind our top rider and put all of our marketing efforts into showcasing his story. We built a 22 minute movie around Gigi Ruf that featured for the first time in snowboarding an original soundtrack. Managed production of a music score/ album and video production while preparing for a global print roll out and 30 stop world premier tour. Gigi Ruf won the Transworld Exposure Meter for 2010 From January 2008 to December 2010 (3 years) Team/ Brand Manager of Snowboarding @ Managed all athletes and began to focus on building the Volcom snow brand. Produced, Directed, Edited and Filmed my first full-length video project “Escramble”. At the same time a young snowboarder was bursting onto the scene. Shaun White. Worked closely with Shaun’s PR team coordinating Magazine interviews and TV Appearances during a grueling 2 week period following his gold medal win at the 2006 Torino Olympics. From January 2005 to December 2007 (3 years) Assistant Team Manager of Snowboarding @ Volcom was very young at this point and job responsibilities consisted of a bit of everything. Athlete sponsorship, tradeshow set up, bus driver, product design, and grassroots activation. In spring of 2002 we started a The Peanut Butter and Rail Jam snowboard contest. We built from the ground up. It has now grown to more than 30 events across the globe. From January 2002 to December 2004 (3 years) Profesional Snowboarder @ Volcom Team Rider starting in 1995, X Games Competitor Slopestyle 1998, Nippon Open Slopestyle 3rd place 2000.
