I am a New York–based writer and educator. As a freelance writer, editor, and consultant, I have experience with a range of subject areas, including humanities, language arts, social sciences, and medicine. I also have extensive undergraduate and graduate teaching experience and serve as Writer in Residence for Maryland Institute College of Art's low-residency MA in Art Education program.Writer and Editor @ - Develop and edit K-12 language arts textbooks, workbooks, lesson plans, online courses, and interactive Web applications. - Copyedit and content edit textbooks, trade books, journal articles, curricular materials, grant proposals, exhibition catalogs, advertising copy, and other texts. From 2001 to Present (14 years) Writer in Residence, MA in Art Education Program @ Teach the program’s capstone writing course and serve as a writing mentor to students during their summer residencies on campus.
