Tomago Aluminium is the second largest Aluminium smelter in Australia, a joint venture between global companies Pacific Aluminium, Gove Aluminium Finance Ltd (CSR and AMP) and Hydro Aluminium. • Leading manufacturer of primary aluminium products • Products include extrusion billet, rolling slab, and aluminium ingot • Located in the industrial suburb of Tomago, 13km NW of Newcastle, 40km from the scenic Hunter Valley • Employ around 950 employees. • Producing 550,000 tonnes of aluminium annually • Spending $900m annually on materials, supplies and labour in Australia • $500m spent locally in the Hunter Region alone • Represent approximately 25% of Australia’s primary aluminium capacity.
