Shock City Studios, located just south of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, is a multi-faceted service provider to the entertainment industry and general public. It not only provides music recording, editing, mixing, and mastering; post production services (including Sound Design, ADR, Foley, and Surround Sound Mixing); but also music production, recording and original music composition for Television and Film. Opened in 2008, Shock City is one of the newest and most sizable "Large Format" recording studios in the mid-west. It is also home to Missouri’s only fully automated Solid State Logic console and is among a handful of studios nationwide that can boast a 1,100 square foot Live Room with a 24’ ceiling, as well as an elevated observation deck. Shock City's engineering staff has over 25 years of music composing, recording, and production experience working with major record labels (RCA/Jive,Universal/Motown, etc.), ad agencies (Maritz, Spot Creative, Group 360, Weremeyer), television programs (M-TV’s “Made”, Joyce Meyer Ministries), corporations (HP, Monsanto, Sierre Energy, AB InBev) and feature length films (“23 Minuets To Sunrise”, “Fatal Call”, “Lake Windfall, “Hating Breitbart”, “Casualties Of The State”). The facility has been honored with many accolades including "Class of 2009 Coolest New Studios" from Mix Magazine in 2009, a Keystone Award for "Construction Excellence," and 2009 "Creative Renovation" award from Construction News and Review (CNR).
