“Recycle My Battery” is a campaign started by a 10-year-old Sri Nihal Tammana to make the earth a better place to live. Please pledge that next time you will recycle a battery properly.
So far in just one and a half years, a team of 75+ kids has recycled more than 75,000 used batteries with the help of Call2Recycle which is the nation's largest battery recycling organization. Also, educated more than one million people about why it's important to recycle used batteries properly. Placed over 250 battery bins nationwide. Nihal is also the recipient of the National Recycling Award for 2020 from the National Waste Recycling Association, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Recycling Award for 2020, Point of Light Award, One in a Million Award, Citizens Award, and New Jersey Governor's Environmental Excellence Award for 2020.
