Minor History

Minor History was founded in 2015 as a response to the growing number of brands selling cheaply made, overpriced handbags with promises they couldn't keep. "Genuine" leather is made from bits of ultra processed leather and many of these bags include plastic fillers to help keep their shape. Meanwhile "vegan" leather is made entirely of plastic. These tricks of the trade are a facade, and only harm the environment while misleading the consumer. We've created a line of well-priced leather goods that are simple, functional, and timeless using the highest quality leather and hardware. Our leathers are engineered to hold their own shape without the need for plastic fillers. Our designs are functional and classic with bold expressions of color that aren't ruined by overought decoration and overt branding. Every effort has been made to extract unnecessary construction and embellishment from our line and to value-engineer the pieces to their purest geometry and form.
