Merle Kelly founded the company on two principles which are still the benchmark for all the decisions made at the dealerships today: 1. Treat the customer the way they want to be treated 2. Support the local community. Kelly believed that when he helped someone buy a vehicle he had made a friend for life. These values have been passed from father to son to grandson. Even though the dealership location has changed and Chanute has grown since 1961.
