Information
Jim's of Lambertville is a 7,000 sq. ft. gallery specializing in Pennsylvania Impressionist and Modernist paintings as well as 18th, 19th and 20th c. American and European art, and quality antiques. There is also a section in the gallery devoted to fine period frames and Jim's own line of high quality custom framing for the New Hope School paintings. After a major interior refit; the gallery adorns the space with the nationally famous Pennsylvania Impressionist & Modernist paintings. Included is over 250 works by such local greats as: Redfield, Garber, Coppedge, Folinsbee, Leith-Ross, Nunamaker, Sotter, Lathrop, Meltzer, M.E. Price, Martha Walter and many more. Jim hosts "The Thrilla in Lambertvilla" show annually, introducing the gallery's recent acquisitions. There is no other place in the country for a collector to see as vast a collection of Pennsylvania Impressionist & Modernist paintings offered for sale at one time. Jim Alterman, the gallery's owner, has been a long time collector of this art and sees the passion of fellow collectors with a familiar understanding. We encourage all who are interested in the Pennsylvania Impressionist and Modernist paintings to make a trip to Lambertville to visit our gallery. We, as well as many other nearby galleries, are open Wednesday-Sunday and are situated in view of the Delaware river and neighboring New Hope. There is something for everyone at Jim's of Lambertville. We have a works on paper section in the main gallery where unframed watercolors, drawings, etchings, engravings, woodblock, and lithos are displayed in easy-to-view racks ranging in price from less than $100 and upwards. Our town has several fine hotels and many great restaurants. Only an hour and a half's drive from N.Y.C., Lambertville is the perfect weekend getaway.
