From the beginning the business has been a family affair (with the added support of our neighbor, like family to us). “Captain” Rod Shuh and cousin John Shuh started the business on their own with just one barge to work with. Today we are serving over 4500 customers out of our own office/storage facility in McHenry where we’ve been for 8 years. We have 7 barges to work with, an office team still compiled of our wonderful family, and a dedicated team of 5 foremen managing anywhere from 8 to 16 crew members between busy and slow seasons. We currently service on and off the chain of Lakes through Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
