About We strive to provide Post-9/11 Veterans with an easily accessible support system and social network while they transition from military life to civilian life. "For Vets By Vets" Mission To provide support and guidance to Post 9/11 era veterans within the Greater Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania Area, throughout their transition and maintain continual support thereafter. We are a home grown Post-9/11 Veteran support group designed and run by Post-9/11 Veterans. We work with many locally and nationally based groups to help provide returning veterans with the needed support they need. Steel City Vets (SCV) is a group for any member of the US Armed Services both currently serving and those who have served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The group is designed and meant to help assist those in the Greater Pittsburgh/Western PA area. We have get together once a month where we come together and have a great time. General Information Membership in Steel City Vets is open to any and all Post-9/11 Veterans regardless of branch of service and pay grade. We are here to foster the feeling of camaraderie among veterans through social activities. Supporters are also welcome to join.
