The online sports injury clinic Sports-Injury-Physio.com was started in 2014 by Maryke Louw. Maryke is a chartered physiotherapist with a Masters’ Degree in Sports Injury Management. Her patient load has ranged from elite runners in Ethiopia to regular people who just enjoy being fit and active. “I’m often asked how I can treat people online if I’m not touching them,” says Maryke. “But 75% of a diagnosis is made from just carefully listening to what your patient is telling you – how their injury started or where/when they feel their pain.
