Shoreline Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice. We treat a variety of musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, back, upper extremity and lower extremity. Our main treatment approach is utilizing Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), also known as the McKenzie Method. With MDT, we can create a successful treatment partnership with each patient. This is accomplished through understanding the patients goals and concerns, educating the patient on their condition, and empowering the patient to actively resolve their pain complaint with customized and effective movement strategies. We continually re-assess the patient's progress and modify manual therapy techniques and specific exercises to meet the therapy goals. Our clinical outcomes in functional improvement and pain reduction are significantly higher than national averages. Additionally we offer specialized services such as custom foot orthotics made on site and lower extremity biomechanical screens for athletes of all levels. Our clinic is the only clinic in the area that offers the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill. This state-of-the-art treadmill uses positive air pressure to reduce the user's weight by up to 80% while they walk or run. This provides multiple positive training effects to runners who would like to reduce joint stress while they train. It also allows patients recovering from injury the opportunity to run or walk much earlier in the rehab process.
