Jerry's Sport Shop

Jerry's Sport Shop was founded in 1957 by Jerry Shumaker and remains a Kansas City leader in team/school sporting goods sales and service. Now owned by Jerry's son-in-law, Jim Egender, Jerry's serves school and team clients across metro KC and in eastern Kansas and western Missouri. The primary focus of the staff at Jerry's is the school or team client. Jerry's has targeted baseball/softball, soccer, basketball, football and volleyball as its "niche" markets, and also offers full-line screen printing and embroidery for individuals, groups and companies of all sorts. Through an innovative mix of social media, e-mail marketing, e-commerce and traditional face-to-face, handshake sales, Jerry's looks to the next 50-plus years with excitement and the energy its customer base -- old and new -- expects and deserves.
