FIY (Fix-It-Yourself) Garage

The FIY Garage is a unique facility where independent mechanics and do-it-yourselfers can rent garage space with lifts and professional tools to perform automotive repairs and maintenance. In today’s challenging economy, many people are trying to save money by repairing their own vehicles. However, many apartment complexes, condos and homeowners associations do not allow residents to perform such tasks due to concerns about excessive noise and improper disposal of dangerous fluids. The FIY Garage provides a safe, indoor facility where amateur and professional mechanics alike can rent a bay and tackle anything from oil changes to transmission rebuilds and engine swaps. Even motorcycles are welcome. The garage is centrally located at 921 Woodward Avenue, just off of N. Graham Street near uptown Charlotte.
