It all started in a basement in Steamboat, Colorado. Dano had been infusing 100% agave tequila with fresh pineapple and jalapeño to share with friends and family. At the urging of his fans, Dano and Chris Timmerman (future Dano’s co-founder & CEO) took a fateful trip to Mexico where the Dano’s Tequila dream became a reality.
The stars aligned in the historic town of Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. Dano and Chris met Silvia Reyes of Hacienda de Reyes, a family-owned distillery since 1840, and the second-oldest distillery in the world. The family had been bottling their own blanco, reposado and añejo tequila using traditional handcrafted methods. Over sips of tequila, they became fast friends. Together they worked to develop Dano’s Fresh Fruit Infusion and agreed to distribute their time-honored family tequila under the Dano's label so it could be enjoyed in the U.S.
In the historic town of Tequila, the Reyes family crafts Dano’s Tequila Infusion using 100% Agave Azul Blanco Tequila and Fresh Pineapples and Jalapeños as well as the award-winning, ultra-premium Dano’s Blanco, Reposado and Añejo Tequilas.
