Cinema Village Cinemart is a family-run company that operates Cinema Village and the Cinemart Cinemas movie theaters. CINEMA VILLAGE Cinema Village is a 3 screen art house cinema in New York's Greenwich Village specializing in unconventional foreign and independent films, documentaries and festivals. Built in 1963 in the shell of a turn of the century fire station, Cinema Village is the oldest continuously operated cinema in Greenwich Village and one of the oldest continuously operated art cinemas in the city. CINEMART CINEMAS The Queens Historical Society gives the Cinemart the distinction of being the oldest continuously operated independent theatre in the borough. An independent neighborhood theater featuring first-run & art house films plus an adjacent, cozy cafe.
