Mission Statement: The CCO creates intimate, transformative experience that connect the musically curious. About the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra: The CCO is committed to spreading the joy of music by providing high-quality classical music in an accessible fashion, through performance, community outreach and education. Founded in 1974, The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra offers a vibrant and fresh musical experience in an intimate and informal setting, for both the seasoned and novice concert patron. The CCO’s size allows for flexibility and creativity in programming, the ideal ensemble for presenting orchestral works ranging from the Baroque and Classical eras to commissioned works by contemporary composers. Collaborations are a hallmark of the CCO. Partnership have included VAE: Cincinnati’s Vocal Arts Ensemble, Exhale Dance Tribe, Madcap Puppets, Pones Inc. dancers, Xavier University Edgecliff Vocal Ensemble and the Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Center.
