We are the largest retailer in the Netherlands and one of the largest on the east coast of the United States. We also operate the Albert banner in the Czech Republic. And we’re growing: in 2011, we opened our first Albert Heijn stores in Belgium. Recently, in fall 2012, we introduced our convenience format to the German market. All our brands and formats operating on the European market are proudly represented by our continental organization, Ahold Europe.
