Leaven is a community-centered restaurant in the heart of Historic Downtown Somersworth, NH. We bake fresh artisanal sourdough bread using no commercial yeast, and host a wide selection of craft and regional beers on tap.
We are a great spot for lunch and dinner, and our night-time programming is always a treat. From female-comedy hour to #StartUpNight, you're sure to find a new and creative way to spend your nights out.

The 'beer and bread house' was started by three young Somersworth natives and budding entrepreneurs. Flouting traditional financing modes, Emmett Soldati, Patrick Jackman, and Aidan Watson developed a unique locally-driven crowd-funding platform to raise money for the project. Since the doors opened in October, it's been a boon for Somersworth - as well as the local #bread and #craftbeer scene.
