Johnny and Mo, best friends for more than 25 years, have a wealth of shared experiences – including, like New Yorkers and Chicagoans, a deep passion for their pizza preferences. Johnny can always be found in pursuit of a thin slice of the New York variety, while Mo has an undying appetite for the deep dishes of Chicago. In fact, their friendship was forged through many hours, if not days, spent sharing pizza, sharing experiences, and arguing passionately (but good-naturedly) in favor of their preferred pizza. Many of these debates occurred on a cabin cruiser that Johnny and Mo co-owned. She was named Modo Mio, which means My Way in Italian. It was a place where Johnny and Mo spent many hours together, but also where they brought friends from all walks of life to spend the casual, relaxing moments that make for some of life’s most unexpected, meaningful moments. So Johnny and Mo decided that they wanted to combine their competing passions for pizza and community. Thus Johnny and Mo’s was born – to bring people together, as they did on Modo Mio.
