Humanity and it’s core infrastructure depends on steel, e.g. energy generation, electricity, mobility and buildings wouldn’t be possible without the material. However, conventional production technologies utilize carbon as the main chemical agent, which results in the enormous CO2 intensity (currently 2.6 - 3 Gt/yr, corresponding to 7-9% of all global emissions). We solve this problem by enabling a technological paradigm shift to hydrogen plasma-based steel production, with the vision to reduce the sector's emissions to 0.
