Welcome to the official page of the Bexar Appraisal District.
Appraisal Districts were established in each county in Texas in 1981 to appraise each property at fair market value as of January 1 of each year for ad valorem tax purposes. The Appraisal District is governed by a Board of Directors who appoints the Chief Appraiser to serve as the chief administrator of the appraisal office. Mr. Michael Amezquita has served as the Bexar Appraisal District Chief Appraiser since 2003 and invites you to contact or visit our office with any questions or concerns you may have.
