Nucor Steel Gallatin produces the safest steel of the highest quality, while emphasizing care for the environment. Construction of our Compact Strip Production facility began in 1993. We began our start-up operations in 1995. We grew our business into the galvanizing market in 2019 with the installation of our Pickle Galvanizing Line. In 2022 our site completed an expansion of product capacity and capabilities to produce 3 million tons annually. Our steel manufacturing facility is located along the banks of the Ohio River on U.S. 42 in Gallatin County, Kentucky, USA. Less than an hour from both Louisville and Cincinnati, we are close to interstate highways, waterways and rail lines.
