Sarah has been a GP partner in the same busy inner city London practice for over 25 years. She has also been a GP trainer for the last 20 years.
She has many years' experience of moderating conferences and webcasts/multiplexes, and travels all over the world to moderate international online academic sessions
Sarah has been the resident doctor for the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2 for the last 12 years. She is doctor to the One Show on BBC One, and also appears on BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain on ITV, Sky News and Radio 5 live. In 2011 she became clinical consultant to Patient.info,, where she writes a regular blog. She has finally joined the twitter generation, and you can follow her at @DrSarahJarvis
She is the author of 6 books, including The Welcome Visitor, a book on the ethics of dying co-authored with John Humphrys; Women's Health for Life, winner of the BMA Book Award for best lay publication in 2009; and three books in the popular 'For Dummies' series. Her latest book, the third edition of Diabetes for Dummies, was published in February 2011
