Manufacturing Director - Fort Mill, SC Jan 2008 – Oct 2012 Responsible for strategic manufacturing initiatives and Logistics in the PLT (Passenger, light truck) division for Continental Tire the Americas, located in Ft Mill, South Carolina. Since 2011 lead the co-ordination for the business plan approval and site selection process for the Sumter Greenfield project. Prior to the USA based positions, was based at the Continental Tire HQ/Manufacturing facility in Port Elizabeth, South Africa since 1998. Held various positions in manufacturing and logistics, the most senior being 3 years as Production Manager for the facility. Prior to joining Continental, spent 3 years in the UK, employed by Automotive Fascia systems; manufacturing authentic wood trims panels as a Project Engineer. A native of South Africa, graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1994. In 2005, he completed an MBA through Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom.
