YMCA of Greensboro is a growth-oriented nonprofit organization, committed to building strong communities, with strong individuals and families as the foundation. The entire Y family - including staff, members, donors, volunteers and more - is united by a common belief that all individuals deserve the opportunity to succeed. With 8 branches and 1 resident camp, our programs develop youth, promote healthy living and foster a sense of social responsibility.

More than just a gym, the Y has meaning for everyone. The Y fosters community and relationship-building and helps create real growth in an individual’s overall health and wellness.

YMCA of Greensboro offers a variety of programs, all tailored to suit the unique needs of individuals in our community and created to empower all to learn, grow and thrive. We help children explore new skills, teens grow to their fullest potential, young adults connect and give back, parents relax in a family-friendly environment, and seniors find a sense of belonging.

The YMCA of Greensboro offers programs to families and individuals of all ages, empowering them to learn, grow and thrive. Through these programs, parents find a safe, positive environment for their children to learn good values, social skills and behaviors; kids and teens learn who they are and what they can achieve; and seniors find a sense a belonging and purpose.

Thanks to donors, staff, members and volunteers, the Y helps build a stronger community by bridging financial and social need gaps.

Our mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
