Welcome Center for New Immigrants (WCNI)

The mission of the Welcome Centre for New Immigrants is to provide English education, job bank information, and referral guidance to newcomers and economically disadvantaged Calgarians in an effort to help them find their rightful place in Canadian society. The Welcome Centre is a branch of the Calgary Immigrant Educational Society (CIES), a not-for-profit organization that has been devoted to assisting immigrants with their language, job, and computer skills since 1988. We provide programs in LINC and ESL as well as supplementary programs such as Childminding, entry-level job training, and Home Study. Located at 3820, 32nd Street N.E. and within walking distance of Whitehorn LRT station, The Welcome Centre is the premiere facility for immigrants looking to find their place in Canadian society.
