US ConEx, LLC

US ConEx was created to manufacture and remanufacture steel transportation shipping containers for the United States military. (The term Conex has been used by the military for steel shipping containers and as an abbreviation for container express.) Shipping containers can be manufactured for one quarter to one third the cost in China, shipping them to the US is a huge cost and still does not satisfy US manufactured requirements. Charleston, SC was chosen as the location for a new 1,000,000 square foot, green field, state of the art, environmentally sensitive manufacturing facility. This site has it's own wharf, rail and ground transportation and is in a well developed industrial park. Factory designs are ongoing and local and national engineers, architects, and vendors are being consulted.
