Today, UEG has become a successful representation of Chinese companies “Going Overseas” and a model of China’s enterprises making investment in Pakistan.In September 2018, UEG announced its acquisition of Kuwait Energy Company (KEC), which will enable UEG to further expand in the Middle East market by taking over KEC's 10 premium quality oil and gas blocks in Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and Oman. After this acquisition, UEG has successfully made itself one of the medium-sized international independent oil and gas company.
